Privacy policy

This policy covers the ReplaceKit add-on for Google Docs and the website replacekit.tuper.app. ReplaceKit is made by tuper (tuper.app). Contact: replacekit@tuper.app.

What the add-on can access

ReplaceKit asks Google for two permissions:

• documents.currentonly: view and edit only the Google Doc you have open and where you opened ReplaceKit. It cannot see your other documents or your Drive.
• script.container.ui: show the ReplaceKit sidebar inside Google Docs.

ReplaceKit reads the text and formatting of the open document only when you press Find, Replace or Replace all, and changes it only as you ask.

Where your document data goes

Nowhere outside Google. The add-on runs as Google Apps Script inside your Google account. Your document's content is processed by Google's servers to carry out your request and is not sent to tuper or to anyone else. We do not store, log, sell or share your document content, and we do not use it to train AI models or for advertising.

Settings you choose to save (saved rule sets and, for Pro, your licence key and its check result) are kept in Google's per-user script storage (Apps Script user properties) in your account. Uninstalling the add-on removes our access.

When Pro is available, the add-on checks your licence key with Polar (polar.sh), our payment provider and merchant of record. Only the key is sent, never document content.

Google API Services User Data Policy

ReplaceKit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The website

replacekit.tuper.app uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the time and the plan you were interested in, and use them only to email you about ReplaceKit. Reply to any email or write to us to be removed, and we delete the address.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are sold by Polar as merchant of record. Polar collects your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy; we receive your email, the subscription status and the licence key, not your card number.
